Sexual Harassment
On June 28,
1998, the Supreme Court made an "affirmative defense" available
to companies who have policies on sexual harassment, and who have
taken other proactive steps. One of those steps is sexual harassment
training. The court said that if the harasser is not a supervisor,
if there was no "tangible loss," and if the company can prove that
the harassee knew where to go for help, there's an "affirmative
defense."
